Well, I guess it is So Worth It!

The name seems to fit and after a few comments in support…it will remain So Worth It!  I have to say that this name just feels better than the old one so it is a keeper.  Thanks to those out there who commented or emailed me-your input is appreciated more than you know. One, because it means there are folks out there peekin’ in from time to time-which makes me smile.  Two, it means that you cared enough to share your input-so, Thanks, Arigato, Gracias, Merci, Danke and Grazie.

Something else I am grateful for is Abe’s Penny.  This is a new little  Micro Magazine that I discovered a while back and fell in love with.  The premise is great:   They partner photographers and writers to create  a serial story delivered to your door once a week in the form of a fantastic postcard (that is a work of art to boot)!  You can suscribe ->here<- as well as order a single back issue.  My volume 1.4 just arrived and I am completely in love with it. These images are just a teaser-I don’t want to show you too much-I think you are gonna want to get your own! (One month-4 individual works of art-is 12.oo and so worth every ‘Penny’)…

On last thing to be thankful for today is the beautiful summer morning and the equally beautiful walk I took with my hubby.  We took a little excursion to the beach this morning by way of a grouping of secluded cottages.  Many of these places look much the same as they did almost a century ago and  their state of elegant decay, while maybe not allowable on a posh downtown street, is absolutely perfect.  There are no cars allowed up here and people who visit these cottages must park down the hill in a small lot and transport everything via wagon, cart or multiple armloads.  To wander the crooked sidewalks offers a glimpse into a much simpler state of mind.  Almost like living in another world where it is acceptable to have grassless front yards filled with wild flowers and drunken fences.  The past collides with the present and the past has the upperhand.  Towards the end of our walk there is a short street where the path ends and a row of cottages have garages and the cars are granted access. This is an image that proves that even though cars are allowed-it doesn’t mean the past has caught up with the present all that much…

So worth it to take this walk-for this image alone...

Have a happy Sunday-enjoy the newness of summer!
